The Sonoma Raceway, hosting the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in Sonoma, CA will offer more than an adrenaline-pumped race this weekend. A convoy of 15 gourmet food trucks from the Bay Area will converge on the hillside above Turn 9 of the road course, making it the perfect pit stop to sample everything from wood-fired pizza to ice cream to hand-rolled sushi. The raceway, along with on-site caterer Levy Restaurants, will host more than 15 Bay Area gourmet food trucks during race weekend, giving fans a chance to sample a variety of local cuisine while enjoying the races.  It will be the largest gathering of food trucks ever hosted at a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event.

The Mobile Gourmet (the-mobile-gourmet.com) has worked with the raceway to gather the best gourmet food trucks in the Bay Area for an outdoor bistro-style atmosphere suited for race fans, foodies and food-truck gurus.

Sonoma Local, Marks the Spot will be serving his signature dishes, ranging from gourmet sliders like the Oooh Girl Fried Chicken with pepper aioli and slaw, and the Bacon, Basil and Brie with house-cured bacon and sweet jalepeno chutney to Hudson Ranch pork belly and crispy duck wings from Sonoma Valley’s Salmon Creek farm to Ultra Crepes and Sift Cupcakes.

Cool off with delicious ice cream from Sunshine Susan’s solar ice cream party, which runs completely off of the sun. La Texanita, featured on Food Network’s, Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives will make a special appearance, featuring its authentic Mexican fare, including their famous sopes and Milaneza.

Other food trucks attending include Cheese Gone Wild, Rolling in Dough, Twister, Awful Falafel, Streetz Eatz, Mayo and Mustard, Pollo Frito, WeSushi, and Twisted Chill.

The Mobile Gourmet is offering special discounted tickets for sharing the website in social networks. Guests will receive the special discount when they share www.racesonoma.com/foodtrucks on their Facebook and Twitter pages.
